The Bits And The Pieces

Lots of times, after a scrapbooking or card making project, you are left with those little bits of paper that are too big to toss, but too small to do much with. My answer is pocket scrapbooking cards!!! You can use them as a pocket card, or use them in a traditional layout, as an added element.

Personally, I use them as pocket cards with pictures that didn't quite make the full layout cut. They are quick and easy to make, and can extend your favorite paper pack just that bit more!

Happy crafting!

To create my card I used CTMH Watercolour Pencils, the Woodland Romance D-size stamp set, and the MOST important thing... Archival Ink. This ink is AMAZING for watercolouring. It does not run or smudge while painting. It does take a bit to dry, but once it does - it is there. I pre-stamped my images and then let them set while I got dinner ready. When I got back, they were ready to colour.

I prefer to use the watercolour pencils, I love how I can control the tones. My preferred method is to colour on a separate sheet of paper, and then pick up the paint with my brush. You can blend colours so easily this way.

I did some gold heat embossing on the card. As well, I used CTMH's newly released Black and Gold Ribbon and a couple of Bling Gems in Gold to finish off the card. I adhered the "love" heart with 3D tape to give some dimension.
